There were some great videos projected on a gigantic scale, and some great performances.
Fun stuff!
Here's a shot of the usual suspects, (minus
Alberto) taken by Vincent Gallegos with me and Rob Parrish (awesome filmmaker) and Gareth Branwyn (awesome writer).

New Work from 'Hole' series.

New 'Lint' movie teaser.

Mr. Steve Aylett's fine documentary on the legendary Jeff Lint is coming along swimmingly.

Here's
the new teaser.

"CACHE" by Alberto Gaitán for Design Week's, Pecha Kucha.

Here's some more info on Alberto Gaitán's piece "CACHE" for Design Weeks, Pecha Kucha Night, this Thursday, October 22nd.

"5:30 INSTALLATION: “CACHE” A work by Alberto Gaitán - This installation transforms used materials into ephemeral art, allowing the DC community to experience and enjoy temporary architecture. Constructed by Alberto Gaitán, this interactive installation will be composed of both reused materials and specialized lighting design. It will be staged in a traditional row house by Cady’s Alley. Defying rigid concepts of design, this installation incorporates everyday functional objects, creating unexpected spaces for the public to engage and explore."

Click here to see a video shot by Vincent Gallegos this morning while "CACHE" was being constructed at Coverings House in Cady's Alley in DC's Georgetown.

Thanks for the cool vid, Vincent !

O Henry!

I just got sent this mashup of The Techno Viking and Henry Rollins, for whom I have to say, I have the utmost admiration and respect. He's one of my favourite people on the planet. Hells bells, nobody can say it like Henry! I remember him talking about 'DJ Fuckhead' at one of his spoken word shows in London, around 1998. My t-shirt's since gone, but I still appropriate the name of 'DJ Fuckhead'.

J.G Ballard

J.G Ballard has died. It's one heavy hearted day.

Simon Sellars, the publisher of Ballardian.com, has written
a really beautiful foreword to the site.

I took this photo in London on a central-casting style rainy day when Millenium People came out in 2003. For some reason I expected him to be quite taciturn, when in fact he was the opposite.

Amazing Grace: Jeff Buckley DVD Release.

Last night, my dear friend Laurie R. Trombley told me that the documentary that she and Nyla Bialek Adams worked so incredibly hard to make, is finally being released.

Read all about it here.

I'm so happy it's finally going out, and feel quite rattled that it will soon be the 15th anniversary of Grace. Pass me the smelling salts and my cane...

Stop poisoning of pets Petition.

A cat was recently poisoned by a neighbour who objected to its being alive. The Police could not 'do anything' about it, so the man who poisoned and killed the cat remains uncharged with any crime. Here's hoping this petition will pass across the desk of someone who can do something.
